Taryn and Thomas' Autumn Seattle Intimate Wedding

Taryn and Thomas recently celebrated their love with an intimate Seattle Micro Wedding at Discovery Park. As their photographer, can I just tell you that I was literally drooling throughout the entire thing?! Seriously, it was absolutely incredible!

They chose Discovery Park for its beautiful autumn foliage and serene setting. Honestly, can you blame them?! I mean, we are talking yellows and auburn colors that would make a grown human cry!

The couple shared their special day with close family and friends, making the occasion both romantic and memorable. The day began with Taryn and Thomas saying their vows at a picturesque spot in the park, surrounded by the vibrant colors of fall.

With the sungrazing over the Olympic Mountains in the distance, they exchanged heartfelt words and sealed their union with a kiss. After their ceremony, they shared a meal with their closest loved ones in a small gathering at Cantinetta, a super cute, small Seattle restaurant institution. Guests enjoyed delicious food and drinks while celebrating the newlyweds' commitment to one another.

Taryn and Thomas’ Seattle Micro Wedding was the perfect way to express their deep love for each other in an intimate and meaningful way. The couple will cherish the memories of this day for years to come.

Between you and I?! I WILL BE TOO!

How to Get Married in Seattle at Discovery Park

If you’re looking to have a wedding in Discovery Park, but you don't know where to start... YOU'RE IN LUCK because I might just know a thing or two!

This huge park, located in Seattle, looks stunning all of the time. However, it is absolutely incredible during the fall season!

When it comes to getting married at Discovery Park, there are a few things to consider. First, you’ll need to secure a permit from the City of Seattle. This is required for any kind of event in the park, including weddings. Additionally, you’ll need to decide how many guests you want to invite, as Discovery Park has a capacity limit of 100 people.

Once you have the necessary permits and permissions, it’s time to start planning the event!

My favorite part about having a micro wedding in Discovery Park is that you don't really need to worry about decor because there is plenty of natural beauty.

From colorful foliage to picturesque views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains, this park provides a beautiful backdrop for any wedding. Be sure to take advantage of this stunning scenery by having photos taken of your ceremony.

Intimate Reception After Saying I DO

When it comes to hosting a dinner/reception afterward, you can either find a nearby restaurant or hold an intimate gathering at the park itself. If you choose the latter option, be sure to bring some tables and chairs for your guests, as well as decorations, beverages, and snacks. Just remember that the park closes at dusk, so plan accordingly!

However, there is nothing wrong with going elsewhere for your after "party." In fact, most of the couples that I have worked with decided to go to an intimate restaurant or venue afterward!!

Ultimately, you really can't go wrong with a Seattle Micro Wedding!

With its gorgeous scenery and charming atmosphere, Discovery Park will provide the perfect setting for an intimate wedding in Seattle. With just a bit of planning and preparation, your micro-wedding can be one that you and your guests will always remember!
