The Best Intimate Washington Wedding Venues

As more and more couples decide to get married in a way that actually feels right for them, they often start downsizing. They are opting for an intimate wedding experience instead of a huge party.

And if you’re planning a smaller wedding, you’ll need a smaller venue! Traditional venues are often too big for an intimate wedding, and you may be looking for something a little cozier. In this guide, I’ll tell you about my favorite Intimate Washington Wedding Venues.

What is an Intimate Washington Wedding Venue?

Before we get into the best intimate wedding venues in Washington state, let’s talk about what that actually means!

For a traditional wedding, you’d be looking for bigger spaces that can accommodate groups of 100 or more. You know, rustic barns, countryside farms, elegant ballrooms, that kind of thing! If you decided to elope, with a ceremony of 10 or fewer people, your options for elopement locations would include parks, hiking trails, and tons of outdoor places. As you’re not worried about accommodating a big group.

But with an intimate wedding or a micro wedding, you’re somewhere in between! Your small celebration can range from around 20 to 50 people. So these intimate wedding venues in Washington state will be big enough to accommodate guest lists in that range. However, they need to be small enough to feel cozy.

    Outdoor Intimate Washington Wedding Venues

If you want to tie the knot outside, here are some of my favorite outdoor intimate Washington wedding venues.

White River Campground Amphitheater - Mount Rainier, Washington

If you have your heart set on tying the knot in a national park but want your loved ones around, you can still get married at Mount Rainier! One of the best intimate wedding venues in Washington State is the White River Campground in Mount Rainier National Park. The Amphitheater can host ceremonies for up to 75 people. So it’s ideal for bigger celebrations if you have more than about 15 guests. The amphitheater provides a “stage” area with seating around it. The campground is located right next to the river, so the scenic, woodsy area is stunning for any small wedding!

Villa Rose Gardens - Kent, Washington

The Villa Rose Gardens is a gorgeous outdoor intimate wedding venue located in Kent, Washington. They’re dedicated to providing an affordable, stress-free place for couples to get married, and the tall pine trees surrounded by manicured gardens are a gorgeous outdoor location for a ceremony and reception. There are several different packages for small weddings of all sizes, and the venue can accommodate a maximum of 50 guests! There is also an indoor chapel on the grounds.

Nature Bridge - Olympic National Park, Washington

In Olympic National Park, you’ll find temperate rainforests, waterfalls, mountain peaks, and more! The gorgeous park is perfect for elopements, but there are also wedding venues around if you want to celebrate with your loved ones! Nature Bridge is one of the best intimate wedding venues in Washington state, and you can get married on the shores of a lake, rent a canoe, hike the surrounding mountains, and more!

Moments in Time Meadow - Olympic National Park, Washington

This gorgeous meadow is located on the shores of Lake Crescent in Olympic National Park, right next to the Lake Crescent Lodge, and is perfect for intimate wedding ceremonies with up to 40 guests. The spot is surrounded by firs and hemlock trees, offering views of the lake and the surrounding mountains!

    Indoor Intimate Washington Wedding Venues

If you want to get married inside- whether you tie the knot during Washington’s colder seasons or you just want a backup plan in case of rain - these indoor intimate wedding venues in Washington state provide a cozy location! Many of these spots combine outdoor views with indoor comfort, so these are a convenient choice for any small wedding - and you can have an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception.

Alta Crystal Resort - Mount Rainier, Washington

The Alta Crystal Resort is located just outside of Mount Rainier National Park, providing a gorgeous scenic location for your intimate wedding. The resort provides an all-in-one venue, with accommodations in the lodge, catering, and a place for your ceremony and reception! It’s ideal for small weddings of 10 - 40 people but can host up to 100 in the outdoor space. You can rent cabins and chalets for your wedding, and this is the perfect home base for skiing or exploring the park.

    Willows Lodge - Woodinville, Washington

In Woodinville, you’ll find the Willows Lodge - the perfect small, intimate wedding venue in Washington state. This homey, cabin oasis can host up to 40 guests, with an outdoor riverside space under the willow trees and plenty of indoor seating for a ceremony or reception. The indoor spaces feature big windows so you can see the view, and there’s even a spa to ensure a relaxing stay at the lodge!

Lake Quinault Lodge - Olympic National Forest, Washington

Close to Lake Crescent, but more private and remote, is the Lake Quinault Lodge. This intimate wedding venue is located in the Olympic National Forest, providing a more serene setting than the national park. The Lodge is located on the shores of Lake Quinault, so you can have your ceremony by the water before heading inside for dinner, and there are several rooms with views of the outdoors where you can host your indoor ceremony. The Lake Quinault Lodge can host weddings of up to 80 guests, and there are plenty of rooms to accommodate everyone!

    An Airbnb

One of my favorite creative ways for couples to get married is by renting an Airbnb! This gives you the most control over your intimate wedding, as you can decorate and style the place to fit your vibe (without making any permanent changes to the property, of course), and many Airbnbs are located near scenic parks and outdoor spaces, providing a home base for exploring. You can rent anything from tiny cabins to big vacation homes to accommodate all your guests - but be sure to message the host before making any bookings, as some places have rules and regulations about events!
