Backcountry Bohemians
Where the free-spirited energy of the great outdoors and artistic lifestyle meet.
Despite typically marching to the beat of my own drum, lemme formally introduce myself to the tune of the iconic 90’s song “Bitch” by Meredith Brooks:
I’m an artist
I’m a wife
I’m a mother
I’m a swearer
I’m a PNW stan
I will always be an extroverted-extrovert
I’m your creative partner
I’m your lifelong friend
I’m everything in-between
You know I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Uuhh, uuhh, uuhh…
Awh shit… I forgot to say “I’m Devin Larson”.
“Spending time with Devin really feels like hanging out with a girlfriend and I couldn’t imagine sharing our special day with anyone else. I miss her already.”
- Autumn
I’ve been wracking my brain trying to come up with the right word for this “feeling” that I’m positive you’ve experienced too.
So help me out….
You know when you read/see/hear something and it just gets you pumped? Your adrenaline starts going, it’s all you can think about, and you can’t stop until you actually do the thing? And then once you do you can actually sleep again, but, you’re just so freaking stoked every morning you wake up! Then when it’s over you’re a little sad, but not too sad, because it isn’t goodbye just yet it’s see ya soon?
Well, THAT is how I feel about photographing couples in love.
You’re probably wrapped up in that same rush right now planning your wedding and imagining the pieces of your vision falling into pace all around you. Whatever that feeling is, isn’t it…just… just the best?

I’m a different kind of dog person.
Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my dogs! But what I mean is…I am easily excitable, unwaveringly loyal, obsessed with meeting new people, hate sitting in the car by myself, and will look for any excuse to be outside. This has manifested in emails packed with exclamation marks. Eagerly showing up 10 minutes early to everythinggg. And incredible friendships that extend beyond photographs. You’ve been warned!
So like… do you wanna go on a hike or what!?
