How to Get to this PNW Island
Whidbey Island is in Puget Sound, just north of Seattle, Washington. Now if you aren’t from the area that just sounds like words! But to reach the island, you’ll want to take the ferry from Mukilteo (which is a 40-minute drive from Seattle).
After about a 20-minute ferry ride, EUREKA! You landed!!
This is where it gets dreamy…Whidbey Island is home to some of the most popular state parks! You will find Deception Pass State Park, which spans over 4,000 acres and offers stunning views of Puget Sound, and Fort Casey State Park, which features a historic lighthouse and panoramic views of the Olympic Mountains. Whidbey Island also has plenty of picturesque beaches that feature stunning sand dunes and panoramic views and beaches with rugged coastlines and stunning sunsets.
