Emily + Alan had their intimate wedding at one of the most dreamy and romantic venues ever — the Wayfarer on Whidbey Island
From the moment I met these two, they were the kindest souls ever! Their intimate wedding was absolutely beautiful and truly them, from the ceramics Emily made to their private first look on their favorite beach.
The Wayfarer on Whidbey Island is the definition of breathtaking in a venue.
I can’t wait to share this MAGICAL day with you!
Whidbey Island is a picturesque destination in the Pacific Northwest with some of the best natural beauty. With its rugged coastline, lush forests, and stunning sunsets the island is a photographer’s dream.
The Wayfarer is so special…mainly because it’s not only a venue but also a hotel and restaurant! Allowing your guests to stay on-site to celebrate a little longer than usual. The Wayfarer has such a beautiful garden, a charming chapel, and an elegant ballroom with stunning floor-to-ceiling windows that let in ample natural light–STUNNIN’!
Whidbey Island is in Puget Sound, just north of Seattle, Washington. Now if you aren’t from the area that just sounds like words! But to reach the island, you’ll want to take the ferry from Mukilteo (which is a 40-minute drive from Seattle).
After about a 20-minute ferry ride, EUREKA! You landed!!
This is where it gets dreamy…Whidbey Island is home to some of the most popular state parks! You will find Deception Pass State Park, which spans over 4,000 acres and offers stunning views of Puget Sound, and Fort Casey State Park, which features a historic lighthouse and panoramic views of the Olympic Mountains. Whidbey Island also has plenty of picturesque beaches that feature stunning sand dunes and panoramic views and beaches with rugged coastlines and stunning sunsets.
The romantic atmosphere literally permeates the island!! The island’s quaint towns, charming farms, and historic landmarks all add to the island’s romantic charm.
One is sure to capture some truly stunning shots here!
Planning a wedding always seems daunting, but at the Wayfarer it’s a breeze! The venue has a wedding planner on staff that can help you.
Get creative to make the most of the photo opportunities on-site and on the island! Whether you’re staying at an Airbnb or the Wayfarer, take getting-ready pics, have a private first look at your favorite beach, and definitely take portraits at the Wayfarer’s beautiful garden. The Wayfarer’s staff is freaking DIALED when it comes to making sure their couples get the best photos.
An intimate wedding at the Wayfarer on Whidbey Island is an excellent option if you want a breathtaking wedding venue that provides natural beauty and stunning photo opportunities.
The venue’s special features make it a couple and photographer’s DREAM!!
