A Beautiful St. Louis Wedding Weekend: Claire + Cam
Claire and Cam’s St. Louis wedding weekend was so so beautiful and all the little details were incredible. From their wedding portraits at the botanical gardens to their sentimental ceremony at St. Peter Catholic Church, it was perfect. Not only did I do their wedding photography, I also did a Super 8 Video which truly showed just how special this day was. This wedding weekend is the perfect example that it can be totally worth it to have different parts of your wedding day at different locations. Keep reading for an inside look at this stunning St.Louis wedding weekend!
Rehearsal Dinner + Welcome Party at Bowood by Niche
The weekend started off with a lovely rehearsal dinner and welcome party for their closest friends and family. Bowood by Niche was the perfect location as it was spacious, bright, and airy. Claire and Cam spent the evening mingling with guests and enjoying the tasty food as I stood back capturing all of the little moments. After their rehearsal ceremony, I stole Claire and Cam away to take some photos in the greenhouse which I was OBSESSED with.
Getting Ready for the Big Day at Clair’s Childhood Home
Claire and all of her bridesmaids got ready at her childhood home and it was the perfect atmosphere to start the day. Claire chose to have all of her bridesmaids where different dresses and it was so dreamy!
Claire also did first looks with her bridesmaids and then her dad and let’s just say, lots of the tears were shed. Capturing moments like these makes me love my job even more.
Claire & Cam’s First Look + Private Vows
Claire and Cam opted to do a first look and private vows in front of the church. This is always one of my favorite parts of a wedding day. Just you and your person seeing each other for the first time on the day you commit the rest of your lives to each other . The emotions are so real and getting to capture it for them to look back on years from now is the best!
Wedding Ceremony at St.Peter’s Catholic Church
St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Louis is very grand so they kept their decor minimal which I loved. It was a beautiful ceremony for the most beautiful couple! As they walked out of the church as husband and wife, all of their guests stood there waiting to throw flower petals at the couple. Several of the guests were holding the traditional Japanese umbrellas which add such a unique detail to their exit photos. They drove off in a red vintage car which was so epic. They seriously thought of everything for this day!
Bride and Groom Portraits at the Botanical Garden
While all of the locations on their wedding day were perfect, this had to be my favorite. The botanical garden and the greenhouse were the most breathtaking locations for their portraits. They very much so had a garden/spring wedding theme and everything from her dress to her bouquet was STUNNING at this location. I followed them around as they explored the gardens, loved up on one another, and enjoyed this alone time on their big day!
An Intimate Reception at Pastaria
They ended their wedding day at Pastaria for their reception. They enjoyed great food, celebrated their love, and danced all night. It was the most beautiful wedding weekend with this lovely couple.
