15 Charity Organizations to Give Back to During the Holiday Season | Giving Tuesday
Sometimes people find it hard to narrow down where to donate to or give back to within the ocean of organizations. That is why I wanted to create this 15 charity organizations guide for this holiday season to help.
The holidays are so special to me because I love giving back! Because of this, I have created a list of 15 of my favorite organizations to donate to.

15 Charity Organizations Available for Holiday Donations
THE LOVELAND FOUNDATION
The Loveland Foundation was established in 2018 by Rachel Cargle with a mission to make therapy support nationally accessible for black women and girls. They deserve access to healing that will impact future generations. The Loveland Foundation hopes to further both the empowerment and liberation of the communities they serve.
WE R NATIVE
We R Native is a comprehensive health resource for Native youth, by Native youths. They strive to promote holistic health and positive growth in their local communities and nationwide. We R Native was established in 2012 with over 330 health and wellness resources for Native youths.
FIRST NATIONS DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE
According to the First Nations site, they are the most highly-rated American Indian nonprofit in the nation. Their mission is to support healthy Native communities and strengthen their economies. First Nations was established in 1980 and within 42 years they have successfully raised $54.7 million for Native American projects across 44 states.
BLACK ARTISTS + DESIGNERS GUILD
Black Artists + Designers Guild builds a more equitable and inclusive creative culture for independent Black makers in the industry. They were established in 2018 and take ownership of their own narrative. In doing so they honor their ancestral legacies in art and design as well as create spaces to celebrate Black culture.
BLACK ARTISTS + DESIGNERS GUILD
ART + PRACTICE
Art + Practice is a private foundation based in South Los Angeles, CA that supports the needs of local transition-age foster youth. They also provide transition-age foster youth with free access to museum-curated contemporary art, a public program space, and housing opportunities for 18-24-year-olds.
QUEER ART
Queer Art was established in 2009 to support LGBTQ+ artists that lost mentors to the 1980s AIDS Crisis. Their organization runs on practice, presence, and awards as three major areas of support. Queer Art expresses the voice of a generation of LGBTQ+ artists that have been historically overlooked.
VAMOS OUTDOORS PROJECT
The Vamos Outdoors Project creates community through access to the outdoors and connects families to the land. The organization serves the Latine and English Language Learner communities.
WILD DIVERSITY
Wild Diversity is a nonprofit organization that helps Black. Indigenous, LGBTQ2S+, and all People of Color create personal connections through outdoor adventures. They provide outdoor education while facilitating community workshops.
THE CYCLE EFFECT
The Cycle Effect provides an opportunity for girls to engage in health programs that build their self-esteem and promote overall wellness. They aim to empower young women with equal opportunity and access to the sport of mountain biking. Cycle Effect’s values are centered on equity, compassion, belonging, thriving, courage, and fun.
THE OATH
The Oath is an organization that commits itself to providing education to outdoor enthusiasts to support the planet, inclusion, and adventure. It is designed to think about the intersections of the planet, inclusion, and adventure through experiences.
CONSERVATION LANDS FOUNDATION
The Conservation Lands Foundation is rooted in community-based action to create long-lasting conservation. They lead grassroots advocates to protect, restore, and expand National Conservation Lands nationwide. Donations help empower local leaders, engage diverse communities, elevate Indigenous voices, and activate advocacy.
NATIONAL PARKS FOUNDATION
The National Parks Foundation builds partnerships to protect and enhance America’s national parks for present and future generations to come. They commit to protecting the places we all cherish by promoting programs and projects that protect historical sites, places of cultural significance, and the wilderness.
CREATIVE JUSTICE
Creative Justice uses art as a vehicle to amplify young people of color’s voices and prepare young people to be leaders in the community. They established a relationship with King County Youth Service (Detention) Center to offer art as a form of healing. Creative Justice specifically asks the criminal legal system to view the youth of color through a wider lens, trust the community’s needs, and celebrate the strength of young people.
CENTER FOR NATIVE AMERICAN YOUTH
The Center for Native American Youth is an education and advocacy organization that sets out to improve the health, safety, and overall well-being of Native American Youth. They work alongside Native youth on reservations, rural villages, and urban spaces nationwide.
CENTER FOR NATIVE AMERICAN YOUTH
LEGACY OF HOPE
The Legacy of Hope is a national Indigenous charitable organization that aims to educate and create awareness about the Residential School System. They support the ongoing healing process of intergenerational trauma survivors as well as their input on projects to honor them.
